Alfredo Watkins is a PhD student in philosophy at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. His research interests include the intersection of law, ethics, and economics, specifically, the various ways that the law commensurates non-monetary values with monetary quantities and the tension between upholding the rule of law and the potential injustice of particular laws. Alfredo earned a BA in philosophy from the University of California, Los Angeles. He was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith fellow during the 2018-2019 academic year.
