Alexandra Oprea

Alex Oprea is a research assistant professor of philosophy, politics & economics at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. She earned her PhD in political science at Duke University. Her research interests include the proper relationship between liberty, representative government and public education. Alex earned a BA in political science and a BS in economics from Duke University. She was the recipient of a 2013-2014, 2014-2015, 2015-2016, and 2016-2017 IHS Humane Studies Fellowship. Alex was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith fellow during the 2017-2018 academic year.
