Adam Gibbons is a PhD student in philosophy at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, New Brunswick. His research lies at the intersection of political philosophy, political science, and political economy, with his current work focusing on institutional design and good governance. He is also interested in language in politics, and how it is shaped by the incentives we face and the institutional structures we inhabit. This line of research draws upon philosophy of language and linguistics, social and political philosophy, and rational choice theory. Adam is a Global Priorities Fellow with the Forethought Foundation for Global Priorities Research and was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith Fellow during the 2019-2020 academic year.
