Adam Gibbons is a PhD student in philosophy at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, New Brunswick. His research interests include the connections between analytic political philosophy, political economy, institutional design, and global priorities research, as well as the ways in which incentives can shape our linguistic behavior in different contexts, particularly as it relates to such phenomena as hate speech, propaganda, fake news, language planning and language policy, and linguistic prescriptivism. Adam earned an MA in consciousness & embodiment and a BA in philosophy from University College Dublin. He was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith Fellow during the 2019-2020 academic year.
