Lewis Butler

Lewis Butler is an alumnus of the Mercatus Center MA Fellowship at George Mason University. He is currently President of the Board for the Detroit Achievement Academy, an Adjunt Professor at Ferris State University, the Operations Manager at First Mate Yacht Care, and the Owner at Icarus Aerials. He previously has worked for Americans for Prosperity in Michigan.  Prior to working for Americans for Prosperity, he started a yacht detailing company and has subsequently sold it.  During his fellowship at the Mercatus Center, he worked within the Government Accountability Project and the Regulatory Studies Program and worked on topics such as midnight regulations, access capital for small businesses, and port security . His interests include economic policy analysis, entrepreneurship, the market process, dark beer, running, and public choice. Mr. Butler earned his BS in Economics from Hillsdale College.
