Claudia Williamson is an associate professor of economics, Drew Allen Endowed Fellow, and Co-Director of the Institute for Market Studies at Mississippi State University. Claudia is also an affiliated scholar with the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. She was previously an assistant professor of economics at Appalachian State University and a post-doctoral fellow at the Development Research Institute at the New York University. Her main research interests lie at the intersection of applied economic development and political economy. Claudia completed her PhD in economics from West Virginia University and was a Mercatus Center Visiting Dissertation Fellow.
