Astrid Arca

Managing Partner, Cogent Consulting Group

Astrid Arca is an alumna of the Mercatus Center MA Fellowship at George Mason University.  While participating in the MA Fellowship Program, she assisted the Enterprise Africa! team with research and was also involved in the Social Change Project. Her research focused on development and economic growth questions, mainly in Latin America and Sub-Saharan Africa. Astrid's thesis focused on property rights issues in the Andean region and their relation to rebellion in the area.

Currently, Astrid is the Managing Partner at Cogent Consulting Group, a social impact firm delivering analytic solutions, systems design, and strategic planning services to the organizations and institutions that are best positioned to create deep and lasting social change. Recent initiatives include school improvement efforts supporting K-12 public schools in both urban and rural Ohio. 

Previously, Astrid has been a Manager of Strategy and Operations for an education-focused start-up social enterprise, an Economist at the Ohio Office of Budget Management, an adjunct professor at Captial University, and a Regional Data Coordinator at the World Health Organization (WHO) in Washington, D.C.
