Andrew M. Baxter

Staff Economist, Council for Economic Advisers, White House

Andrew M. Baxter is currently a Staff Economist for the Council for Economic Advisers at the White House. He was previously an Economist at the Internal Revenue Service. He is an alumnus of the MA program in the Department of Economics at George Mason University and graduated in May of 2018. During his time in the Fellowship, Andrew interned at the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs in the Office of Management and Budget. Previously, Andrew worked for the Charles Koch Institute as a Policy and Research Analyst. Andrew graduated from the University of Massachusetts – Boston with a BA in Economics and from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst with a BA History. His research interests include regulatory analysis as well as tax and immigration policy.
